ERIND EL CACIQUE

Artistic Director of Dance and Flow / Afro Cuban Instructor

Erind el Cacique is the artistic director of Dance and Flow. His artistic journey began in 1996 with ballet, modern dance, and classical guitar, which sparked his lifelong passion for music and dance. In 2000, he encountered Caribbean dances in Italy and began intensive training in various salsa styles, including Son, Cuban Salsa, L.A. Style, Puerto Rican, and N.Y. Style. After six years of study, he began teaching and founded Dance and Flow in 2006. That same year, he delved into Flamenco guitar and dance, studying with renowned artists like Jose Greco II and Torombo, mastering various Flamenco "palos" such as Farruca, Alegrías, and Bulerías. His connection with Afro-Cuban culture grew in 2009, leading him to explore Cuban Contemporary dance, combining ballet, modern, and Afro-Caribbean traditions, while also studying Afro-Cuban religions like Yoruba and Abakuá. Erind has taught and performed internationally, including in Italy, the U.S., U.K., France, Belgium, and Australia, and continues to deepen his knowledge while sharing his passion globally
